Every place on MatchaPlaces gets a Matcha Score from 0 to 100. What makes a great matcha place?
The best matcha cafes share a few things: they use ceremonial-grade matcha from reputable Japanese producers (Uji, Nishio, Kagoshima are the big three regions). The preparation is done with care — proper water temperature (70–80°C), whisked to a smooth froth, no clumps.
